Instructions and FAQs on the use of the notification portal

Pricing Change - Notification of Work Through the APHC Portal

Owing to fee increases levied by third party organisations enabling access to the systems permitting APHC to process Building Regulations notification (self-certification) of work, there will be a price change associated with the cost of making notifications on the APHC portal. Effective from 1st May 2024.

New notification cost - £2.95 plus VAT

Note:
As a reminder, multiple work areas completed at a property e.g. gas boiler, unvented hot water cylinder & bathroom install can be combined into the one single notification using the APHC portal.

Problems Making a Notification?

Gas Notifications

On accessing the portal and it appears that you can’t progress a notification for one of your operatives – the likely reason is an outdated (expired) Gas Safe Register number.

Please contact the office with the new number details and this can be quickly updated on our systems.

Non Gas CPS Notifications (Insurance & MCS Consumer Code – RECC or HIES)

On accessing the portal and it appears that you can’t progress notifications across your company – the likely reason is outdated (expired) business insurance and/or consumer code certification for MCS.

Please email in your insurance/consumer code documentation and these will be updated on our systems the same working day, or if outside normal office working hours the next working day.

Non Gas CPS Notifications (Mandatory Operative Qualifications)

On accessing the portal and it appears that you can’t progress notifications in specific work areas for one of your operatives. There’s a 5 yearly qualification renewal requirement in the following work areas –

  • Oil fired appliances & storage
  • Solid fuel appliances
  • Biomass appliances

Please email latest qualification certificates (applying to the above work areas) and these will be updated the same working day, or if outside normal office working hours the next working day.

Any queries please contact the APHC Office on 0121 711 5030 – (open weekdays 9am to 5pm) or out of hours email info@aphc.co.uk
